2025–26 Wycombe Wanderers F.C. season

The 2025–26 season is the 139th season in the history of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club and their fifth consecutive season in League One. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the EFL Trophy.

Wycombe Wanderers' academy is set to return for the first time since 2011/12 as they are set to compete in the EFL Youth Alliance South, FA Youth Cup and the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup.^[1][2]

On 22 May, Wycombe Wanderers announced their first pre-season friendly, against Barnet.^[38] Five days later, a second fixture was added to the schedule, against Sutton United.^[39] One day later, a third friendly was confirmed, against Cheltenham Town.^[40]

A behind closed doors fixture against Tottenham Hotspur was also later announced.^[41]

On 26 June, the EFL League One fixtures were announced, with Wycombe visiting Bradford City on the opening weekend.^[43]

Wycombe were drawn away to Leyton Orient in the first round^[46][47] and to Bromley in the second round.^[48][49]

Wycombe were drawn against Colchester United, Gillingham and Fulham U21 in the group stage.^[50]

Wycombe Entered their Youth Team in the EFL Youth Alliance South Division for the first time since 2011/12 as part of the reopening of the Academy, ever since it closed that same year. Their first game was announced on August 5th, 2025 as they face Sutton United away from home and then they face Portsmouth at Harlington Training Ground.^[51]

Wycombe got their first win in the Youth Alliance since 2011-12 by beating Sutton United 2-0.

Wycombe entered the EFL Youth Alliance Cup in the Preliminary Round as they face Exeter City.^[52]

Wycombe is set to enter into the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup, this time with their Youth team compared to previous seasons and as part of a revamped setup, Wycombe will enter into the Cup in Round 2 instead of the Quarter Finals. This is replicated with the other EFL sides in the County FA (MK Dons entering in Round 1 and Reading entering in Round 3).^[54]
