The 2025–26 season is the 148th season in the history of Grimsby Town Football Club and their fourth consecutive season in League Two. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.

Pre-season and friendlies

On 14 May, Grimsby Town announced they would kick-off pre-season with a trip to Cleethorpes Town.[20] Five days later, a second fixture was added to the schedule, against Grimsby Borough.[21] On 3rd June, the third pre-season friendly away to Gainsborough Trinity was announced.[22] One day later, three more games were added, an away fixture against Rochdale, a game away at Boston United and a home game against Peterborough United.[23][24] On the following day, the final pre-season game was announced, versus Lincoln City.[25]

On 26 June, the draw for the first round was made, with Grimsby being drawn at home against Shrewsbury Town.[30] After winning 3-1, Grimsby were drawn at home to Manchester United in the 2nd round[31][32] which will be the first time the two teams have faced each other since 1948.[33]
