The 1940 Transylvania Pioneers football team represented Transylvania University as a member the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) during the 1940 college football season. Led by third-year head coach Tate C. Page, the Pioneers compiled an overall record of 5–3–1 with a mark of 1–2–1 in both KIAC and SIAA play.[1][2]
