Vojin Serafimović (Serbian Cyrillic: Војин Серафимовић; born 14 October 2005) is a Serbian professional centre-back for Serbian club Čukarički.[2]

Club career

Serafimović started training in Leštane as a five-year-old, and later moved to OFK Beograd.[3] He was moved from the forward line to the last line of the team at that club, where he continued to play even after moving to Čukarički in 2018.[4] He first signed a scholarship contract with the club.[5] He later committed to professional cooperation and extended his contract in the following years.[6][7][8] He joined the first team during the 2022-23 competition season. Under the leadership of Dušan Kerkez. He made his debut in the round of 32 of the 2022–23 Serbian Cup, replacing Viktor Rogan in the 82nd minute of the match against Zlatibor Čajetina at the Stadium Švajcarija in Čajetina.[9] He made his debut in the Serbian SuperLiga in February 2023, entering the game against Kolubara.[10]

International career

Serafimović participated in winning first place with the Serbia U15 national team at the 2019 Montenegro Trophy tournament.[11] He made his debut at the age of 16 in a friendly match against his peers from Romania.[12] He was then part of the squad for the Miljan Miljanić „Memorial Tournament”.[13] He played for Serbia U17 national team in a friendly match against Macedonia U17 national team.[14] He later played as a regular in the qualifying round, through which the Serbian team qualified for the final tournament.[15] In that tournament, the Serbian team was defeated by the Netherlands after a penalty shootout.[16] He was also a member of the Serbia U18 national team,[17] while making his youth debut at the 2023 Stevan Vilotić Ćele „Memorial Tournament”.[18]
