The South Africa cricket team is touring Australia in August 2025 to play the Australia cricket team.[1][2][3] The tour consists of three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.[4][5] In March 2025, the Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, as a part of the 2025 home international season.[6]

On 10 August, Aaron Hardie was added into the T20I squad as a cover for Matthew Short.[11] On 12 August, Alex Carey was added to the T20I squad as a cover for Josh Inglis, due to 'flu-like symptoms'.[12] On 14 August, Lance Morris (back injury), Mitchell Owen (concussion) and Matthew Short (side injury) were ruled out of the ODI series, and were replaced by Matthew Kuhnemann and Aaron Hardie.[13][14]

- Dewald Brevis (SA) recorded the highest individual score by a South African cricketer in T20Is. He also became the youngest South African cricketer to score a century in T20Is.[16] He also scored the fastest hundred against Australia in T20Is.[17] His knock was the biggest score made against Australia in T20Is.[18]
