Sobieszewo [sɔbjɛˈʂɛvɔ] (formerly German: Matthishof) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Przybiernów, within Goleniów County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1]
In the 960s the area became part of Poland after Mieszko I defeated the local Slavic tribes. The region however soon became part of the Holy ROman Empire of the German Nation, to stay part of Germany until 1945. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
