Hasan Kalyoncu University (Turkish: Hasan Kalyoncu Üniversitesi) is a non-profit foundation university located in Gaziantep, Turkey. The university was established on July 30, 2008, originally as Gazikent University by the Gaziantep Education and Service Foundation, and was renamed to its current name in 2012.[1] HKU is recognized as the first foundation university in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey.[5]
As of 2023, the university has 7,430 students, including around 3,300 international students. The medium of instruction is Turkish and English.[6]
History
The university's origins trace back to the Gaziantep Education and Service Foundation, which was founded in 1980 under the leadership of Hasan Kalyoncu. The university started admitting students in the 2009–2010 academic year as Gazikent University, and changed its name to Hasan Kalyoncu University in 2012.[7]

The main campus of Hasan Kalyoncu University is located on the Gaziantep–Airport road, in the Şahinbey district, approximately 8 kilometers from the city center.[8]
