Systematics
Cephaloscymnini has long been considered a tribe within the subfamily Sticholotidinae. However, later research resulted in a new classification of the Coccinellidae, with only two (and later three) subfamilies. Under that system, the Cephaloscymnini belong to the subfamily Coccinellinae.[2]
