Zoe LaVerne Day (née Pemberton; born June 3, 2001),[4] is an American social media personality. She became famous for her videos on the video sharing app Musical.ly.[5]
Controversies
In 2020, a video surfaced showing then 19-year-old LaVerne kissing then 13-year-old Connor Joyce, leading to public controversy and allegations of child grooming. While no legal actions were taken against LaVerne, she acknowledged the relationship with the victim and described the age difference as inappropriate, but also claimed that a close friendship had been formed prior to the recording of the video.[6] On May 9, 2025, Joyce posted a video on TikTok accusing LaVerne of statutory rape and child grooming, alleging that the grooming began in August of 2019 when he was 12 years old. In the video, Joyce stated that no legal action was taken because LaVerne was threatening to commit suicide. Joyce revealed that he attempted to pursue legal action at a later date, but law enforcement refused to reopen the investigation.[7]
