Woodcroft is a suburb[1] of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands district of the county of Staffordshire, England.[2]

History

Originally, the area was occupied by a single large house named "Woodcroft".[3] It was built in 1893 by Henry George Carr, who owned a draper with shop in Leek town centre.[4] Carr would then later sell the house to Henry Davenport, who later extended the house after acquiring it.[5]

The house remained standing until 1935, when it was demolished and redeveloped for housing.[6]

It also forms a small urban area with neighbouring Wallbridge Park and Westwood.
