Whitemoor is a small village[1] in the Staffordshire Moorlands district of the county of Staffordshire, England.[2] It is located midway between Biddulph and Congleton, where it forms the county border of Staffordshire with Cheshire.

Amenities

The village is mostly a small collection of residential houses and home to a single farm shop named "Whitemore Village Farm". The nearest amenities are in both Biddulph and Congleton.[3]

Transport

The village is served by a regular bus service, operated by D&G Bus which runs from Newcastle-under-Lyme to Congleton via Kidsgrove and Biddulph. It serves the village at multiple stops.[4]

The nearest active rail station is Congleton and a bit further away, Kidsgrove. The village was served by the aforementioned Biddulph Valley line. The nearest stop to the village was Mossley Halt. The station though did not last long as a passenger station and was closed in 1925.

With Biddulph station serving the village until it was closed in 1927. Goods traffic along the route finished in the 1960s and the line was closed. It is now the "Biddulph Valley Way" trail between Stoke-on-Trent, Biddulph and Congleton.[5]
