Trupti Satapathy

Trupti Satapathy is an Indian public figure, known for being the wife of Odia film actor Babushaan Mohanty. She came to public attention in 2022 after a widely reported confrontation involving her husband and actress Prakruti Mishra.

Personal life

Satapathy married Babushaan Mohanty in 2014.[1] The couple has one son.[1]

2022 controversy

On 23 July 2022, Satapathy publicly confronted Babushaan Mohanty and Prakruti Mishra in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.[1] The incident, recorded on mobile phones, went viral on social media and was reported widely in regional and national media.

Following the incident, Satapathy filed a police complaint against Mohanty under sections 498A (cruelty by a husband or his relatives) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.[2] Mishra's side also filed a counter-complaint under IPC sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506.[1]
