Thornes is a scattered hamlet[1] in the Lichfield District in Staffordshire, England.[2] It is close to the town of Aldridge. The hamlet is in Shenstone parish[3], close to Mill Green, Stonnall and Lynn. The hamlet is close to the Staffordshire/West Midlands County border, with the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall. Stonnall is the nearest settlement with shopping and general amenities. As well as Aldridge, Brownhills, Shenstone and Lichfield. The hamlet also borders the hamlets of Lower Stonnall and Footherley.[4]
