The Voice of Hind Rajab (Arabic: صوت هند رجب) is an upcoming drama film written and directed by Kaouther Ben Hania. It follows the killing of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl who lived in the Gaza Strip and was killed by Israeli forces during the ongoing Israeli genocide of Gaza.[2][3]

The film will have its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 3 September 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.

Synopsis

29 January 2024. International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement volunteers receive an emergency call: the five-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab is trapped in a car during the ongoing Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

In May 2025, it was announced Kaouther Ben Hania had directed an untitled film, with principal photography concluding in Tunisia. Nadim Cheikhrouha, Odessa Rae and James Wilson serve as producers.[4][5]

Release

The film will have its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 3 September 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.[6] It will also screen at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentations section on 7 September 2025.[7][8]
