Tara Summers (née Adler; 1932 – 2023) was an American singer and actress known for her television work on Highway Patrol, The Abbott and Costello Show, and The Colgate Comedy Hour.
Biography
Tara Summers attended Beverly Hills High School, and while studying at the University of California, Los Angeles joined The Circle Players. She subsequently starred in several stage productions including Assembly Call and Montmartre.[2] It was while singing at the Cal-Neva Lodge that she was discovered by lyricist Paul Gilbert who hoped to give her a buildup in the industry.[3]
She was crowned a WAMPUS Baby Star in 1955 and cast in The Bold and the Brave (1956) before retiring.[4] She wed Harvey Miller and had two children. The couple later divorced.[5]
