Table tennis at the 1991 Pan American Games
Table tennis at the 1991 Pan American Games was one of the seven table tennis events contested during the XI Pan American Games, held in Havana, Cuba, from 2 to 18 August 1991. The tournament included men’s and women’s singles, doubles, team competitions, and mixed doubles, marking the sport’s fourth appearance since its debut in 1979. Athletes from across the Americas—representing 39 nations and over 4,500 participants in the Games overall—competed for medals. Brazil led the table tennis medal standings with four gold, three silver, and one bronze, followed by the United States and Canada. These competitions contributed to the broader success of Cuba’s XI Pan American Games as a major regional sporting event.
