Sukoon (urdu; سکون, transl. Peace) is a Pakistani television drama series that premiered on ARY Digital on October 13, 2023.[1] Directed by Siraj-ul-Haque and written by Misbah Nosheen, the series is produced by Abdullah Seja under the banner of iDream Entertainment. It stars Ahsan Khan and Sana Javed.[2][3]
Plot
Aina, a shy and innocent young woman from a traditional middle‑class family, who becomes smitten with Raza at a friend’s wedding. Enamored by his charm, she pursues a relationship that turns out to be nothing more than flattery and deceit. When Raza callously denies any commitment, Aina’s world crumbles—she loses her family’s trust and becomes an outcast, abandoned by those who once supported her.[4]
Into this emotional chaos steps Hamdan, a mature, honorable businessman who is also Raza’s cousin. Though initially uninvolved, Hamdan finds himself forced into a shotgun nikkah with Aina by her conservative and unforgiving family. Despite the awkward circumstances, Hamdan decides to honor the marriage and protect Aina. Instead of rejecting her, he supports her in pursuing education and independence. Gradually, mutual respect and understanding grow between them, offering a path toward genuine connection and emotional healing.[5]
Meanwhile, Aina’s younger sister Aima suffers silently. She is forced into marriage with Aina’s former fiancé, Usman, and endures emotional abuse and humiliation at his hands. Aima’s painful struggle highlights the collateral damage of Aina’s actions and the systemic injustices faced by women in her circumstances.[6]
As the story progresses, Hamdan and Aina’s relationship slowly solidifies. Hamdan remains a moral anchor—balancing familial obligations, societal expectations, and his growing affection for Aina. Aina, in turn, learns to trust again and reclaim her agency while rebuilding her life. Eventually Hamdan’s cousin Shanzay, who had expectations of marrying him, discovers the truth about his marriage to Aina, triggering conflict and confrontation. Through these trials, Hamdan and Aina evolve beyond a forced union into a partnership rooted in empathy and shared resilience.[7]
In the end, Sukoon is a story about betrayal, the misuse of innocence, and the unexpected redemptive bonds that can emerge from turmoil. Aina finds a partner who respects her dignity, Hamdan finds purpose beyond societal approval, and both find true sukoon—inner peace—in each other.[8]

Soundtrack
The Sukoon Original Soundtrack is the title song of the Pakistani television drama Sukoon. The track is a reworked version of the 2022 single “Sukoon” by musical duo Hassan & Roshaan, featuring vocals by Hassan Sheikh and Shae Gill.[14] It was adapted for the television series with revised arrangements to align with the show’s tone and narrative.[15] The song incorporates themes of emotional introspection, solitude, and the search for peace, which parallel the central storyline of the drama. The OST was released alongside the show’s premiere and was made available through ARY Digital’s official platforms.[16]
