Stary Gierałtów [ˈstarɨ ɡʲɛˈrau̯tuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stronie Śląskie, within Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic.[1] It lies approximately 5 km (3 mi) east of Stronie Śląskie, 25 km (16 mi) south-east of Kłodzko, and 92 km (57 mi) south of the regional capital Wrocław.

The suffix -dorf of the former German name Altgersdorf is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[2]
