Starczów [ˈstart͡ʂuf] (German: Alt Altmannsdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, within Ząbkowice Śląskie County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 km (3 mi) north-east of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, 10 km (6 mi) south-east of Ząbkowice Śląskie, and 65 km (40 mi) south of the regional capital Wrocław.
The suffix -dorf of the former German name Alt Altmannsdorf is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[2]
