Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) is a private university located in Las Piñas, in the southern part of Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1998 as Southville Foreign Colleges and is the only provider of Tertiary Transnational Education in the Philippines.[1][2] The school was founded to provide international curricula and qualifications in the Philippines. It is the only university in the Philippines accredited to offer De Montfort University and Pearson BTEC qualifications.[3][4]
History
Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) was founded in 1997 by Roger and Helen Bartholomew who teamed up with Southville International School and Colleges (SISC).[5]
In 2018, SISFU introduced the Online Blended Learning program.[6]
In 2019, SISFU expanded its partnership with De Montfort University to offer three undergraduate degree programmes: the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management (Hons), Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Management (Hons), and the Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Hons).[7]

Institutions such as De Montfort University, Pearson UK, Southern Cross University, James Cook University, Macquarie University, and the Swiss Hotel Management School regularly participate. The fair is held in collaboration with organizations including the British Council and ANZCHAM, offering Filipino students presentations, scholarship opportunities, and academic counseling.
Tuition Accessibility[9]
In line with its mission of broadening access to international education, SISFU has introduced tuition adjustments to make selected programs more affordable. These include degrees and certificates in business, finance, data analytics, hospitality, and culinary arts, as well as online continuing education courses.
Scholarships and Competitions
SISFU conducts recurring scholarship programs, including the Global Dimensions Olympiad (GDO), an academic competition for senior high school students. Top-performing participants may receive full international scholarships. [10]
The university has also introduced specialized scholarship schemes, such as those for the dependents of Filipino veterans, [11] covering undergraduate and graduate programs in partnership with De Montfort University and Pearson UK.
International Engagements
SISFU regularly takes part in international education events, such as the Great British Festival[12] and the Australian International Education Conference,[13] to highlight its transnational partnerships and promote academic mobility opportunities.
