The softball competition at the 2025 World Games took place from 6 to 17 August 2025, in Chengdu in China, at the Softball Stadium within the Xindu Xiangcheng Sports Centre.[1][2] The discipline included two events: a women's tournament, and for the first time in the games, a men's tournament as well.[3]

A rainout was declared cancelling the gold and bronze medal matches. The winning semifinalists were awarded gold medals while the losers were given bronze medals.[6]

The play-offs for fifth place and seventh place were cancelled due to rain.[7] The final standings including the 5th to 8th place teams were later confirmed.[8]
