Shams Rahman

Shams Rahman is a Bangladeshi academic and researcher. He is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of East West University.^[1][2][3] He is internationally recognized in the field of supply chain management.^[4][5][6]

Rahman completed his schooling at Mirzapur Cadet College. He earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Belarus Institute of Technology, followed by a master's in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology. He later completed his PhD in Management from the University of Exeter, UK, under a Commonwealth Scholarship.^[7][8]

Before Rahman's appointment at East West University, He served as a Professor of Supply Chain Management at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.^[9][10] In October 2023, he was appointed as the sixth Vice-Chancellor of East West University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, for a four-year term.^{[11][12][13][14]}

Rahman is also an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management and serves on the editorial boards of over 15 international academic journals.^[15]

Rahman is married and has children.^[16]
