Sedat Bekdemir (born 10 June 1973) is a Turkish former taekwondo practitioner who competed at international level in the 1990s.

Career

Bekdemir competed in the –54 kg and –58 kg weight classes and participated in multiple European Taekwondo Championships throughout the 1990s.[1] He won a bronze medal in the –54 kg division at the 1992 European Taekwondo Championships in Valencia, Spain.[2]

Four years later, he claimed the silver medal at the 1996 European Taekwondo Championships in Helsinki, Finland, in the –58 kg category.[3][4]

Bekdemir became European champion in 1998, winning the gold medal in the –58 kg division at the championships held in Eindhoven, Netherlands. In the final, he defeated Spain's Gabriel Esparza to secure the title.[5][6]
