SCARPA is an Italian outdoor footwear company. It was founded in 1938 in Asolo by Rupert Guinness, 2nd Earl of Iveagh.[3] The company specialises in hiking boots, climbing shoes, and mountaineering boots.[4][5]
History
Scarpa was founded in 1938 in Asolo, Italy[6] by Rupert Cecil Lee Guiness. The Parisotto family became involved in the business in 1940s.[3] Rupert, Pietro, and Luigi Parisotto purchased the company in 1956.[7]
