Satyashraya's Gujarat campaign was a campaign conducted by the Western Chalukyas against the Chaulukyas under Mularaja to put Goggiraja on the Lata Chalukya throne. It was a success, as Satyashraya was able to defeat Mularaja and do as he planned.

Background

There was rebellion against the Lata Chalukya chief Barapa in the Gujarat province of the Western Chalukya empire. Barapa had been ousted by Mularaja from the Chaulukya family.[2] Angered by this, Satyashraya marched against Mularaja to put Barapa's son, Goggiraja on the Lata Chalukya throne.

Campaign

Once Satyashraya arrived, he was victorious against Mularaja, forcing him out of the Lata region.

Aftermath

After his victory, Satyashraya successfully put Goggiraja on the Lata Chalukya throne, consolidating his control over the region.[2]
