Sammaan Capital Ltd, formerly Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd,[1] is an Indian financial services company. Incorporated in 2005, it is registered with and regulated by National Housing Bank (NHB). It is engaged in the business of providing home loans and loan against property. It also provides corporate mortgage loan - lease rental discounting and residential construction finance.
History
In 2013, Indiabulls Financial Services reverse merged with its wholly owned subsidiary, Indiabulls Housing Finance, to form the flagship company of the Indiabulls group.[2]
In November 2015, Indiabulls Housing Finance acquired a 39.76% stake in OakNorth Bank for $100 million.[3]
On 5 April 2019, the board of Indiabulls Housing Finance approved a merger with the private sector bank Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB), with the consolidated entity to be called Indiabulls Lakshmi Vilas Bank.[4][5] However, the Reserve Bank of India rejected the proposed merger on 9 October 2019.[6]
In 2024, Indiabulls Housing Finance changed its name to Sammaan Capital, following its switch to a board-run and diversely held financial institution, from being a promoter-led and promoter-driven company.[7]
