Rileyhill is a hamlet[2] in the parish of King's Bromley, in the Lichfield district, in the county of Staffordshire, England.[3] It lies in the Trent Valley and midway between Lichfield and Kings Bromley. It is also close to the hamlet of Bromley Hayes and the Trent and Mersey Canal.

History

The Trent and Mersey Canal in Rileyhill.

Rileyhill is linked to the nearby village of Kings Bromley due to its importance in the distribution of milk. Which was transported to the village by horse-drawn wagon. From there the milk was distributed to other major towns and cities in the country.[4] This also links the hamlet to the former creamery at nearby Bromley Hayes.

Present day

Today, Rileyhill is a small scattered hamlet with a few farms and private residences. The main A515 road passes through the hamlet.[5]
