Lawton Correctional Center was a privately managed prison for men located in Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma, operated by the GEO Group under contract with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.[1]
The facility was opened in 1998 and had a capacity of 2682 inmates held at a mix of medium and maximum security levels.[2]
In 2025 the Oklahoma Department of Corrections purchased the facility from GEO Group for $312 million and announced that it would be re-named Red Rock Correctional Center.[3][4][5] As of that time, there were no further privately operated prisons in the state.[5]
