Personal History is the 17th studio album by American singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter, released on June 6, 2025, by Lambent Light Records with distribution by Thirty Tigers.[2]
Critical reception
Mark Deming of AllMusic gave Personal History four out of five stars, calling it a "triumph, offering an unguarded look into her heart and her soul."[3] Henry Carrigan of Folk Alley stated: "It may be her best album yet, and it is certainly one of the best albums of the year so far."[4]
