Pelecium grossii is a species of beetle of the family Carabidae. This species is found in Brazil (ParanĂ¡, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo).

Description

Adults reach a length of about 15 mm. They have an elongate, flat body. The head, pronotum and elytra are shiny black.

Etymology

The species is named in honour of Brazilian coleopterist Paschoal Coelho Grossi, who lent the authors Carabidae beetles important for the work in which this species was described, as well as other taxonomic and morphological studies in progress.[1]
