Pelecium buckupi is a species of beetle of the family Carabidae. This species is found in Brazil (Goiás).
Description
Adults reach a length of about 12 mm. They have an elongate, flat body. The disc of the head, pronotum and elytra are metallic dark green, with purple reflections alongside.
Etymology
The species is named in honour of the Brazilian researcher Ludwig Buckup (1932–2021), one of the founders of Fundação Zoobotânica do Rio Grande do Sul (FZBRS).[1]
