Pelecium belloi is a species of beetle of the family Carabidae. This species is found in Brazil (São Paulo).

Description

Adults reach a length of about 10 mm. They have an ovate, flat body. The disc of the head, pronotum and elytra are shiny black, with purple and green reflections on the sides in dorsal view.

Etymology

The species is named in honour of the Brazilian coleopterist Ayr de Moura Bello, who lent the authors Carabidae beetles important for the work in which this species was described, as well as other taxonomic and morphological studies in progress.[1]
