Operation Bangkok (Thai: เพชรตัดเพชร) is a 1966 Thai action mystery adventure thriller crime film based on the novel by Sek Dusit and S. Naowarat produced by Parinya Tassaniyakul, there were three directors: Vichit Kounavudhi (nicknamed "Golden Doll Millionaire"), Promsin Sibunruang (Phan Kham) and Prakob Kaewprasert.

Operation Bangkok is a 35mm. film CinemaScope, Eastmancolor, sound on film, according to world standards, starring Mitr Chaibancha, paired with the return of the old hero, Luechai Narunat, is one of the selling points that has been successful, and the heroine Petchara Chaowarat joins in the performance, and there is a young actress from Hong Kong, Regina Baiping. In addition, there is Gacha Plienwithi, Adul Dulyarat, Wilaiwan Wattanaphanich, and many other stars joining in the performance premiered on April 5, 1966 at Chalerm Khet Cinema[1], the highlight that made the film famous was the filming on 35mm. then, the voiceover and background sounds were recorded onto the film, giving it a realistic sound quality that is different from 16mm. films in that era, that live dubbing was used, the scenery of Hong Kong Island was amazed by Thai people at that time, the action scenes were also played with great satisfaction, especially the scene where Mitr punched with Luechai and the scene where Mitr drove the car to escape the police. When the car ran into the water, it ran like a boat. The scene where Mitr threw Pepsi bottles all over the road to stop the pursuers was memorable. There was also the song "Phet Tad Phet" sung by the Suthep Show group, the Silver Sand band, and the song "Duang Jai" sung by Sawalee Pakaphan, which were famous songs from this movie.

Sypnosis

Yod (Luechai Naruenat), the right-hand man of Tan (Gacha Plienwithi), double-crossed and killed Chart (Mitr Chaibancha), a smuggler merchant, and stole the goods but Tan suspected that Yod would double-cross him, so he ordered Poon (Chumphorn Theppitak), another close subordinate, and his subordinates to kill Yod. However, Bai Lu (Regina Baiping), a female police officer disguised as a singer, saved his life and made Yod realize that Mr. Tan had double-crossed him, so he cooperated with the Hong Kong police. In addition, Yod double-crossed Cheng (Adul Dulyarat), a heroin dealer, and stole the money before returning to Thailand with Bai Lu.

In Thailand, Police Lieutenant Sakchai (Mitr Chaibancha), a young police officer from the Crime Suppression Division, is given a mission by Superintendent Chit (Pan Kham) to impersonate Chart to find the big boss of an organization. He receives help from Bai Lu, Yod, and Rasami (Petchara Chaowarat), a young woman police officer who is Yod's lover. This leads him to learn that Madame Louise, the big boss of the organization, is Jaisamorn (Wilaiwan Wattanaphanich), a generous millionaire who uses charity work as a front for smuggling illegal goods and heroin.
