Olbrachtów [ɔlˈbraxtuf] (Upper Sorbian: Olbrachtow, German: Albrechtsdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Żary, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 km (4 mi) south-west of Żary and 50 km (31 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra.

The former German nanme refers to Albrecht Dziewin, who was the owner of Sorau when the region was part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.[2]. The suffix -dorf of the German name is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[3]
