Nusret Ramazanoğlu is a Turkish former taekwondo practitioner who competed internationally in the 68–70 kg category. He achieved success at both the World and European Taekwondo Championships, winning three major medals during the 1980s.[1]
Career
Ramazanoğlu represented Turkey in several international taekwondo events throughout the 1980s. He first won a silver medal at the 1984 European Taekwondo Championships in Stuttgart, West Germany, competing in the –68 kg category.[1]
His most significant achievement came in 1988 when he became European champion at the European Taekwondo Championships held in Ankara, Turkey, by winning the gold medal in the –70 kg division.[2]
In 1989, Ramazanoğlu won the silver medal in the –70 kg category at the World Taekwondo Championships in Seoul, South Korea, becoming one of the few Turkish athletes to reach the world final during that period.[3][4]
Throughout his career, Ramazanoğlu was known for his tactical approach and was part of a generation that established Turkey as a strong nation in international taekwondo.[5]
