Mustafa Elmalı is a Turkish former taekwondo practitioner who competed internationally during the 1980s and 1990s. He won a bronze medal in the –64 kg category at the 1987 World Taekwondo Championships in Barcelona and a silver medal in the –70 kg category at the 1992 European Taekwondo Championships in Valencia.[1]

Career

Elmalı represented Turkey at major international taekwondo events, becoming one of the leading athletes of his era. In 1987, he won the bronze medal in the –64 kg division at the World Taekwondo Championships in Barcelona.[1] His achievement received coverage in Turkish sports media at the time.[2]

In 1992, Elmalı reached the final at the European Taekwondo Championships in Valencia, earning a silver medal in the –70 kg weight class.[1] This accomplishment is also documented in the official history of the Turkish Taekwondo Federation.[3]

Throughout his career, Elmalı was recognized for his competitive performances and contributed to the early success of Turkish taekwondo on the international stage.[4]
