Mukhiddin Madaminov is an Uzbekistani chess grandmaster.
Chess career
During the eighth round of the World Rapid Chess Championship 2023, Madaminov as black checkmated Surya Shekhar Ganguly as white in 8 moves in a Scotch Game that ended in a scholar's mate. This was a rare instance of such a checkmate occurring in a master-level game.[2][3]

In February 2024, he started a Titled Tuesday tournament with a perfect score of 9/9, though failed to maintain the success through to the end of the tournament.[4]
In July 2024, he tied for first place with Rinat Jumabayev, Leon Luke Mendonca, and Ayush Sharma in the Master Tournament MTO section of the Biel Chess Festival.[5] He was ultimately ranked in 4th place.[6]
In February 2025, he won the Al-beruniy Masters with 6½/9.[7] In June 2025, he finished at second place in the UzChess Cup challengers with 6/9.[8]
