History
On November 21, 2024, the USPHL announced that they had approved the addition of the Montana Buckaroos as an expansion team for the 2025–26 season.[1] The team would be placed in the Mountain division and play out of the Centennial Ice Arena while they waited for their permanent home, the Signal Peak Energy Arena to finish construction which was projected to be in November 2025.
The Buckaroos are the first junior ice team in Billings since the Billings Bulls folded in 2017.[2]
