Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 will be the 34th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant.
Sandra Lim of Selangor will crown her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Malaysia at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand.
Background
On July 31, Charissa Chong, Miss Grand Malaysia 2022 and first runner-up of Miss Universe Malaysia 2020, was announced as the new national director.[2]
Selection of participants
The open call for applications began on May 4, attracting hundreds of women from across the country. A closed-door and an online audition were held on 14 June and 18 June at Holiday Inn Bangsar, with evaluations conducted by a panel of esteemed judges. Contestants were assessed on intellect, cultural awareness, communication skills, poise, and confidence, with 26 shortlisted to proceed to the voting stage. The voting stage was conducted via the Zetrix MU Voting App between June 25 and July 6.[3]
Official national costume designer
The organization announced Malaysia’s Top National Costume Designer Grand Final, to be held at Sabah International Convention Centre on August 31. The winner will be collaborating with the organization for the official national costume for the Miss Universe 2025 stage.[4]
Location and date
On August 21, the organization scheduled the finals for September 12, through an announcement on their official Facebook page. The pageant will be held at the Majestic Ballroom, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.[5]
