In 1991 she played Beauty Weed in Flesh 'n' Blood.[1][4] Andrews was Thelma in the off-Broadway production of The Trip to Bountiful, for which she was nominated for a 2006 Lucille Lortel Award.[5] She later returned to this role for the 2008 production in Chicago.[6]
