Md Maksudul Haque BSP, ndc, afwc, psc is a major general of the Bangladesh Army and Bangladeshi ambassador to Iraq.[1] Prior to that, he was Commandant of Bangladesh Ordnance Factory. He is 9th Colonel Commandant of Army Ordnance Corps. [2]
Early life and education
Haque has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chittagong, a Master's of Defence Studies from National University, Bangladesh.[1] He completed an MBA at the University of Dhaka.[1]
Career
Haque was commissioned in the Corps of Ordnance on 21st June 1991.[1]
In 2016, Haque was appointed to the UN SaferGuard Technical Review Board of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.[1] On 19 December 2023, he was appointed Colonel Commandant of the Army Ordnance Corps.[1]
Haque has taken over responsibilities as Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Iraq on 13 July 2025.[1]
Personal life
Haque is married to Marzina Akhter.[1]
