The Boston Fleet are a professional women's ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Established in 2023 as one of the six founding franchises of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), the team initially competed under the name PWHL Boston before officially adopting the "Boston Fleet" name and branding in September 2024.[1] The Fleet play their home games at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Boston made a strong debut during the league’s inaugural 2023–24 season, finishing third in the regular season standings with a 12–9–0–2 record. They advanced to the 2024 Walter Cup Finals, ultimately falling in five games to PWHL Minnesota.[2]

In the 2024–25 season, which expanded to a 30-game schedule, the Fleet posted a 9–6–5–10 record, finishing fifth overall and narrowly missing the playoffs due to tiebreakers.[3]

Team captain Hilary Knight led the team in scoring for the 2024–25 season with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists), tying for the league lead in points alongside Sarah Fillier of the New York Sirens.[4] Alternate captain and defender Megan Keller contributed 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) and earned a spot on the PWHL Second All-Star Team during the league’s inaugural season.

Goaltender Aerin Frankel served as Boston’s starting netminder in both seasons. She recorded over 1,000 career saves by February 2025 and posted a 4–0 shutout against PWHL New York on February 13, 2025, in one of her standout performances.[5]

In addition to their regular schedule, the Fleet participated in the 2025 PWHL Takeover Tour, playing neutral-site games in Seattle, Buffalo, and St. Louis, posting a 2–1 record and helping expand the league’s fan base across North America.[6]

As of the end of the 2024–25 season, a total of 36 players have appeared in at least one game for the Boston Fleet, including 3 goaltenders and 33 skaters.
