Lake Lebak Wangi (Sundanese: ᮞᮨᮒᮥ ᮜᮨᮘᮃᮊ᮪ ᮝᮃᮍᮤ, romanized: Sétu Lebak Wangi; Indonesian: Danau Lebak Wangi) is a lake located in Lebak Wangi, Pamegarsari Village, Parung District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia.[3] There is a small unnamed island in the middle of Lake Lebak Wangi.[4]
The lake was inaugurated on 7 October 2021, as a tourist destination. The inauguration was carried out by a number of officials, including the Regent of Bogor Ade Yasin, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Deputy Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Budi Arie Setiadi, and member of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives Adian Napitupulu.[5]
History
Lake Lebak Wangi, known by its old name Lake Djati (Sundanese: Sétu Jati), has been around for a long time, and was even recorded in 1902 and included as an asset of the local government for water areas (provinces) and the central government for equivalent areas (BBWSCC).[6]
Management
Lake Lebak Wangi is managed by the local residents, specifically through collaboration between Pamegarsari Village Government and Pamegarsari Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES Pamegarsari).[2]
