Krzepocin [kʂɛˈpɔt͡ɕin] (German: Lüttkenhagen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerzno, within Kamień County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 km (5 mi) south of Świerzno, 15 km (9 mi) south-east of Kamień Pomorski, and 60 km (37 mi) north-east of the regional capital Szczecin.
History
The suffix -hagen of the historic village name is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[2] Before 1637 the area was part of Duchy of Pomerania. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
