Kota Takahashi (髙橋海大, born 31 July 2003) is a Japanese freestyle wrestler who competes in the 74 kg weight class.
Career
Takahashi won the gold medal at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in the men's 74 kg category.[1] Later that year, he became the U23 World Champion in Tirana, Albania, winning the gold medal at 74 kg.[2]
He previously claimed a bronze medal at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, in the 70 kg division.[3]
Takahashi finished fifth at the 2024 World Wrestling Championships in the men's 74 kg event.[4]
As a cadet, he won gold medals at the Asian Cadet Wrestling Championships in 2018 and 2019.[5]
