Kim Min-seok (Korean: 김민석; born 14 June 1999) is a South Korean speed skater who has competed for Hungary since 2024.[1][2] He participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics and won a bronze medal in the 1500 m race, skating in his first ever Olympic event.[3][4] He became the first Asian athlete to medal at this event.[5] Kim then added to his medal tally by winning a silver medal in the team pursuit event.

Kim Min-seok, a three-time Olympic speed skating medalist born in South Korea, has become a Hungarian citizen. The Hungarian National Skating Association recently announced that Kim, 25, will now be called Oliver while representing the European country. Another South Korean-born skater, Moon Won-jun, also switched allegiance.

In long-track speed skating, no Hungarians competed in 2022, but this time, with the arrival of Kim Minseok, naturalized as a Hungarian citizen, participation is almost certain.
