Jacob Ambæk (born 28 March 2008) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Danish Superliga club Brøndby.
Early life and youth career
Ambæk began his youth career at AB Tårnby and A27 before joining the Brøndby IF academy at the under-13 level. He progressed through the club's youth ranks and became a standout player, finishing as the top scorer in the 2024–25 U19 Drenge Ligaen with 14 goals and 4 assists.
During his time with Brøndby's U17 team, Ambæk won several honours:
- Danish U17 League: 2022–23
- Danish U17 Cup: 2022–23, 2023–24
In December 2023, Ambæk took part in a one-week training stint with Italian club AS Roma, organized by Brøndby IF as part of their Masterclass development program. Although Roma expressed interest, no transfer materialized, and he returned to Brøndby to continue his development.[1][2]
Club career
Brøndby IF
Jacob Ambæk made his senior debut for Brøndby IF in April 2025 in a Danish Superliga match against Randers FC, coming on as a substitute. On 18 July 2025, he signed his first professional contract with Brøndby, valid until 31 December 2027. He was subsequently promoted to the first-team squad ahead of the 2025–26 season and assigned shirt number 38.[3]
