Housecats is an American 1985 Student Academy Award winning animated short film written, directed and animated by Peg McClure and produced by Todd Flinchbaugh at De Anza College in Cupertino, California.[1][2][3]
Plot
Two rival housecats, the benevolent striped Squeak and the malevolent black Scratch, engage in household battle.
Awards
Housecats was the winner of Achievement in Animation at the 13th Annual Student Academy Awards on June 8, 1986.[3] Housecats also won first place at the 1986 ASIFA East Festival.[4]
Critical reception
Los Angeles Times, "Additional viewings only make it increasingly clear that the jokes in Peg McClure's "Housecats" (U.S.) are neither well timed nor well animated."[1]
