Hock Lee Centre (Chinese: 福利大廈) is the three-in-one integrated commercial development in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, consisting of shopping podium and hotel towers. Owned by Hock Lee Group of Companies, it was completed in 1997 by Teo Ah Khing Group of Companies (Chinese: 張祖德集團).[1][2]

Architecture

Hock Lee Centre features a three and a half-story oval-shaped atrium, an eleven-story office block, and an eighteen-story condominium tower, with a three-level central basement services and car parking spaces. The building exterior is a composition of large panel of imported deep red African granite with thick laminated glass curtain wall. A large water feature is located at the welcome entrance.

Tenants

In the earlier years of Hock Lee Centre, the commercial section housed a variety of establishments including record store (Speedy Video), fengshui store, bookstore (Smart Bookshop), restaurants (Li Garden Chinese Restaurant (Chinese: 梨苑酒家)), musical instruments stores (Lepo Music Centre) and others, whereas the basement housed fashion stores, supermarket (Choice supermarket) and arcade stores. After the 2010s, many businesses relocated to more strategic and densely populated areas, resulting in an increasing number of vacant shoplots.

Hock Lee Hotel & Residence also operates businesses at the condominium tower.
