Grace Neville (born 9 April 2000) is an English professional footballer who most recently played as a defender for London City Lionesses. Born in England, she also plays for the Ferns New Zealand national team.

Early life

Neville was scouted by the youth academy of English side Arsenal at the age of ten.[3]

Club career

London City Lionesses

Neville played for English side London City Lionesses, where she was regarded as one of the club's most important players, joining the team ahead of the Club’s inaugural season 2019–20, at Princes Park the independent and fully professional lionesses first home.[4]

On 4 August 2023, It was announced she had extended her contract with the Lionesses for a fifth season. Followed by a sixth season on 10 July 2024.[5][6]

22 July 25, The Lionesses confirmed that the reliable right-back’s time at the club had come to an end. Neville who helped in the shaping of London City’s identity and would forever be remembered into the club’s history. Scoring the club’s first-ever goal to playing a pivotal role in Barclays Women’s Super League promotion.[7]

International career

In January 2023, Neville received her first call up to the New Zealand national team,[8] making her debut in a match against the United States on 18 January.[9]

On 4 July 2024, Neville was called up to the New Zealand squad for the 2024 Summer Olympics.[10]

Neville mainly operates as a right-back.[11]

Neville was born to a New Zealand mother and an English father.[12]
